Goodwin's London office has relocated to the Sancroft Building on Paternoster Square, opposite the historic St Paul’s Cathedral and in the heart of the City’s business district. The new office is state-of-the-art from both a design and sustainability perspective and is home to Goodwin’s approximately 350 London-based lawyers and professional staff.

“Our relocation to Sancroft is a significant milestone for Goodwin in London, reinforcing our commitment to providing top-notch service to our clients while fostering a more collaborative environment for our lawyers and global operations team,” said Gemma Roberts and Ajay Pathak, co-chairs of Goodwin’s London office. “Since moving into 100 Cheapside in 2017, we have significantly expanded our platform to meet growing client demand in the private equity, financial services, life sciences, technology, and real estate industries - and across litigation, transactional, and corporate and regulatory practices. This expansion called for a larger, more innovative space, and we are thrilled that our new premises in Paternoster Square reflects this growth and the firm’s vibrant culture. We look forward to hosting our current and future clients in our new space.”

As an anchor tenant at Sancroft, Goodwin occupies the building’s top three floors totaling approximately 90,000 square feet, including a private rooftop terrace overlooking St Paul’s. The building is eco-friendly and offers many amenities. Goodwin is aiming to achieve an “Excellent” BREEAM office rating for low environmental impact and a WELL Gold certification for implementing resources to support employee wellbeing and safety.

Established in 2008 as Goodwin’s first European location, the firm’s London office is widely-recognized as one the fastest growing international firms in the United Kingdom. The firm’s full-service practice in the United Kingdom serves clients in all of Goodwin’s key industry verticals, including private equity, technology, life sciences, financial services and real estate.

The London office move follows the expansion of Goodwin’s global footprint across three continents over the past two years with the opening of new offices in Munich (April 2022), Singapore (October 2022), and Philadelphia (January 2023).
